All things (almost) new!

So much has been happening it is hard to know where to begin. Matteo is getting more and more interactive and giving lots of smiles and giggles. He is generally a happy baby and really LOVES his fabulous big sister! Eléa has been so wonderful with him, and with us. There have been soooo many transitions for all of us, but especially Eléa.

In addition to a new baby in the house, Eléa graduated from her incredible pre-school - Habibi's Hutch and is getting ready to start Kindergarten. Luke (aka: Papi) found out last minute that he got a visiting professor position at Bard College in upstate New York...So we had six weeks to pack up and move house.

With the generous help of Abi and Abu (the abuelos), we made it and have settled into small town life in a picture postcard setting. Eléa will be starting kindergarten in early September at a school that has views of the Catskills.

In the mist of all this, we had a trip to Chicago to play with all our friends (that's you Darcie, Chris, Sylvia, and Reese), a cabin camping trip to Bastrop State Park, and a beach trip to Fire Island with the family. Luckily, neither Matteo or Eléa seem to share Mami or Papi's aversion to the sand/sun.
