Bye Bye Summer, Hello Fall

The end of summer and the beginning of fall have been full of fun and some big FIRSTS! Eléa got her first haircut ever, courtesy of her Mami. She also had her first camping, or shall we call it pre-camping, experience sleeping in a tent in the backyard with Papi. She got her first big girl bicycle from her Abuelos and has been riding it like a champ. This was also the first halloween where Eléa had a better sense of what the holiday was about, and she rocked her trick or treating.  Finally, while in Chicago Eléa got to pick apples––from actual trees!

In the fall we took a trip to Chicago to visit all of our friends, and Eléa had a blast! It was basically a one week slumber party, full of yummy treats, lots of play, and little sleep. We also took a trip to Miami so Eléa could meet her new first cousin, once-removed, Emma. She enjoyed playing in the sand and splashing in the ocean. She has been requesting plane travel, as she now associates flying on airplanes with being able to eat jellybeans (we gave them to her to pop her ears on the way down).

Eléa is growing up so fast. She loves playing pretend and has us making up story after story day and night. Her love for her besties (Ava and Willow) has only deepened, and at night sometimes we hear her chanting their names as she drifts off to sleep.  Luke is keeping a running journal of all the hilarious things she says, so needless to say we remain always thoroughly entertained.

Enjoy the most recent pictures and video!
